Montgomery InVitro Fertilization Fund
We have been trying to concieve our first child for over three years. Due to a number of infertility issues, IVF is our only real hope. Last week, we were presented with a once in a lifetime opportunity. If we raise 15% of the cost, New York State will pay the rest. Our insurance covers nothing, and without the state's help, costs would be upwards of $15,000.
The problem is that we only have until July 1st to go through our treatment. After July 1, 2005 this grant money is no longer available. With the timing of my cycles, we would need to start sometime in the next ten days, approximately the 3rd week in May.
Payment for an IVF cycle must be made in full prior to starting any treatment. So, we have about ten days to raise a pretty large sum of money.
That's why we're asking for your help. We've already paid out of pocket for many cycles of meds. We know we need to do IVF, but we just cannot afford it. This may be our only chance to have a family, purely because of the cost of infertility treatments.

I can't send anything right now, but I'm really going to try inthe next week.
God bless, Katie.
For those who've asked, the money does not come out of NY state budgets. This grant is the Infertility Demonstration Project, and you can read more about it here:
